TUMULTE
was a three-day celebration held in a château two hours outside of Paris. Invited by a fellow VJ friend, I was lucky to take part in this experience alongside Fiona and Dorian — big shout out to them!
We had two full nights of VJing. On the first night, we worked with TouchDesigner, and on the second night I experimented with Resolume for the very first time. It was an exciting chance to explore a new tool tailored for live visuals and compare different approaches to building VJ sets.
For that second night, I chose to work with old Soviet cartoons that I watched often during my childhood. Their surreal, psychedelic qualities resonated perfectly with the techno sets, and I found it fascinating how seamlessly they synchronized with the beats. For the Parisian crowd, it was both playful and unexpected — a way to merge personal memory with collective experience on the dancefloor.
